~~All of my creations are all original art works; hand-sculpted from polymer clay, baked and hand-painted.
~~These are sculptings and are for display, not meant to be used as toys.
~~Each one takes many days or even weeks to create and no moulds are EVER USED.
~~I get inspiration from everything and create the entire doll, costume and setting myself. It all comes from my imagination...LOL.
~~I use a mix of different polymer clays (usually Pro Sculpt Light,
Pro Sculpt Flesh, and Cernit) and bake everything according to the package details.
~~I use Heat-set Genesis oil paints on my dolls to blush them with a natural look. It is a high quality paint that is safe for polymer clay.
~~I create all of my own wings and try to make wings that coordinate with the doll (whether it is a fairy or dragon). I use colored wire and Angelina Film or Translucent Sculpey (which I then paint). I make my mermaid fins the same way with either Angelina Film or Translucent Sculpey. If I use Angelina Film, I cover it with Translucent Liquid Sculpey (TLS) then bake it in the oven as directed. (There is as wonderful link that explains it very well at Katja's
Dreamland )
~~For the hair, I usually use Tibetan lambs wool, but just started using Viscose. I dye a lot of my own hair.
~~I have recently started making eyes (thanks to Eneida Rosa's amazing eye tutorial) , but I have some that I bought and am using. I use the insertion method.
